A man in his 30s who collapsed while climbing in Connemara was airlifted to University College Hospital, Galway, yesterday and later discharged. He collapsed on Duchruach mountain, near Kylemore Abbey.

Meanwhile, a man who was climbing Galtemore, in Co Tipperary, sustained ankle injuries after a fall. He was taken by coastguard helicopter to Shannon and transferred to Limerick Regional Hospital.
