Man charged with murder

A LIMERICK man has been charged with the murder of a musician in the city last month

A LIMERICK man has been charged with the murder of a musician in the city last month. At a special sitting of Limerick District Court last night, Mr Andrew Brennan (26), single and unemployed, of St Munchin's Street, St Mary's Park, Limerick was charged with murdering Sean Colbert (53), a father of eight, in the city on August 9th.

Asked by Judge Michael Reilly if he had anything to say Mr Brennan replied "no". He was granted free legal aid and remanded in custody to appear next Wednesday.
