A man was this evening charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Waterford last night in which a 21-year-old died. The 20-year-old man appeared before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court.
Mr John Paul Ryan, from the St John’s Park area of the city died after a row in which he received at least one stab wound. The attack happened at around 11.30 p.m. last night.
A post mortem examination on his body was carried out this afternoon by the State Pathologist, Dr John Harbison. The results of the post mortem have not yet been released.
