A leading loyalist was arrested in Plymouth, England, yesterday by detectives investigating the 1999 killing of Lurgan solicitor Ms Rosemary Nelson.

The 32-year-old man from Co Armagh was taken to Gough Barracks in Armagh for questioning.

No one has yet been charged with killing Ms Nelson, who died after an under-car explosion. The attack was claimed by the dissident loyalist group Red Hand Defenders.
