Man arrested after Tipperary murder

A  28-year-old man has been arrested after the discovery of a body in Co Tipperary.

A  28-year-old man has been arrested after the discovery of a body in Co Tipperary.

A murder investigation was launched after the remains of a 45-year-old man were found in a house at Carrigeen, Clonmel, shortly after 2.30am. He is believed to have been stabbed.

The scene was preserved for a full forensic examination.

The arrested man is being questioned at Clonmel Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
