A man who pleaded guilty to assisting with the removal and concealment of a man’s body is to be sentenced next February.
Joachim Pohl (28), a German national, of Linton Place, Kilkenny, pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to knowing or believing Armin Wielderhold committed an offence and pleaded guilty to assisting with the removal and concealment of the body of Thomas Thompson on April 20th-21st, 2007. He also pleaded guilty to removing the personal effects of Mr Thompson from his house. Mr Thompson, from Yorkshire in England, had worked as a plastering contractor in Ireland for several years. Mr Justice Paul Carney remanded Pohl on bail for sentencing next February 4th.
