Man admits to abusing daughter

A man pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court yesterday to four charges of sexually abusing his five-year-old daughter in Cork. The man (36), who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted attempted rape of the girl on July 6th, 1996. He also admitted three charges of indecently assaulting her. Mr Justice Flood requested reports on both the victim and the defendant who will be sentenced later this year.
