A total of 29 sex related charges dating back to 1967 were preferred against a 62 year old man who appeared at Tullamore District Court yesterday.
The man, who cannot be named, faced charges of rape, indecent assault and having unlawful carnal knowledge of a female under the age of 15 years.
The accused was remanded on his own bail to July 17th by Judge Aidan O'Donnell.
