Man (48) injured in Co Louth shooting

An investigation is underway after a man was injured in a shooting in Co Louth last night.

An investigation is underway after a man was injured in a shooting in Co Louth last night.

The 48-year-old man was shot in the leg at about 10.30pm.

Four men entered the house at Dromad, Co Louth, and threatened two men. One man escaped, while the other was wounded in the leg.

The attackers subsequently escaped the house.

The injured man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
