A man died in hospital today after a crash in Co Mayo last Saturday morning.
The single vehicle accident happened at 2.45am on Saturday on Clare Street, Ballina, when the 25-year-old's car struck a pole.
He was taken to Mayo General Hospital and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he died today.
There were no other vehicles or persons involved in the crash. The man's name will not be released until all next of kin have been notified.
