Kati - Twenty seven gunmen - believed to be martial arts cult members - who raided two army weapons depots before killing two hostages surrendered yesterday after Malaysian security forces issued an ultimatum to end the five-day standoff.

"All members of the group have surrendered to police," the Defence Minister, Mr Najib Razak, told reporters in Kati, in the northern state of Perak.
