Loyalist paramilitaries have carried out two "punishment" attacks in Belfast

Loyalist paramilitaries have carried out two "punishment" attacks in Belfast. A 19 year old man was taken to hospital after he was shot in the leg on the Shankill Road on Monday night. A 36 year old man was attacked by eight men with baseball bats, a hammer and iron bars at his home in the Glencairn area on Monday night.

Republicans attempted to carry out a "punishment" attack in Derry on Monday night. Several masked men, one with a baseball bat, tried to break into a house in the long Tower area. When they failed, they ran towards the Bogside.
