A suicide car bomber attacked a US military convoy in Iraq's rebel stronghold of Ramadi today according to police officials.
No information was immediately available on whether there were casualties.
Al Qaeda's wing in Iraq said its "martyrdom brigade" was behind the attack, according to a statement posted on an Islamist Web site. "
Today marks the second anniversary of the start of the Iraq war.
