Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has announced her first Irish concert.

Recently nominated as the biggest star in the world by Forbes magazine, Lopez (42) will play the O2 in Dublin on Friday, October 19th, as part of her Dance Again world tour. Tickets go on sale on Monday.

JLo, as she is more commonly known, has found global fame as a singer, actress and most recently as a judge in American Idol.

Her recent return to the public eye, after taking time out to raise her four-year-old twin boys, was dubbed the "Latina triple treat" by Forbes magazine.

She had a recent No 1 single with her latest release On the Floor.

The superstar kicks off the Dance Again world tour in Panama City on June 14th and will play a further seven dates in South America and 19 dates across North America before heading to Europe in the autumn.
