All Black winger Jonah Lomu has signed with New Zealand rugby for another two years, the national body announced today.

The signing means Lomu is contracted for the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

New Zealand Rugby Football Union (NZRFU) chief executive David Rutherford said the contract extension was great news for all levels of the game in New Zealand.

"Jonah has made, and will continue to make, a tremendous contribution to the game in New Zealand both on and off the field," Rutherford said.

"Ensuring that Jonah continues to play in New Zealand was of considerable importance to the NZRFU. He's a great player and a huge drawcard where ever he goes."
