The first phase of a programme to introduce telephone calls at local rates to all Government departments and offices begins today. Callers from anywhere in the State wishing to contact a number of departments, the Houses of the Oireachtas and a number of offices, including the Revenue Commissioners, can get through at local call rates by using the Telecom Eireann LoCall 1890 service.
