The Devey Group won the Overall and Commercial Category Prize in the 1999 Guinness Living Dublin Awards for the development of Smithfield Village. The awards were designed in 1994 as an initiative to improve Dublin city and its environs and are organised by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Dublin Corporation and Guinness Ireland Group. Its objective is to encourage civic participation in the enhancement of Dublin by recognising projects that help make Dublin more attractive. Other category winners included Under One Roof (Energy Action Ltd) in the Community Development Category and Samhain `99 in the Entertainments/Events Category.
