Goals from Danny Murphy and Michael Owen helped Liverpool book a place in the UEFA Cup semifinals tonight with a comfortable 2-0 second-leg win over Porto.

Liverpool earned the victory after holding the northern Portuguese side to a 0-0 draw in the first leg last week. Murphy was lucky not to be penalised for handball as he controlled Steve Gerrard's cross before rolling a shot under Porto goalkeeper Pedro Esphina for the opener in the 33rd minute.

And Espinha looked at fault when he was slow to move to stop Michael Owen's downward header from bouncing into the roof of the net from another Gerrard centre five minutes later.Barcelona had to rely on away goals as their 3-2 defeat in the second leg against Celta Vigo left the overall result of the all-Spanish clash 4-4.Barcelona, leading 2-1 from the quarter-final first leg, extended their overall lead on 29 minutes as Rivaldo struck from the edge of the box following a breakaway led by Marc Overmars.Catanha equalised five minutes later with his own long-range strike after a neat pass from Alexander Mostovoi but Rivaldo got a crucial second away goal for his side a minute before halftime with a free kick from close to 30 metres. That left Celta 4-2 down and needing to score three times in the second half to go through. They got one back with a Gustavo Lopez penalty on 64 minnutes and sparked hopes of a a dramatic comeback as Mostovoi struck two minutes into injury time. There was scarcely time for Barcelona to kick off again, though, and they breathed a sigh of relief as they squeezed through.
