AN independent radio station, Radio Limerick One Ltd, is toe keep its licence following settlement of its High Court proceedings against the Independent Radio and Television Commission (IRTC).

An out of court settlement was reached between representatives of both sides in the Four Courts yesterday.

Mr Adrian Hardiman SC, for the IRTC, said the parties had reached a certain arrangement which would take some time to implement. He asked that the case be adjourned for mention. Mr Justice Kelly put the case back to June 11th.

On March 3rd last Mr Justice McCracken granted an order restraining the termination of the licence pending the hearing of the proceedings. He also gave leave for the radio station to challenge the IRTC's decision by way of judicial review.
