Gardai are investigating the reported petrol bombing of a house in Moyross in Limerick early yesterday. Three youths were seen running from the scene at Pineview at 5 a.m. after more than one petrol bomb was believed to have been thrown into the house.
Extensive damage was done to the downstairs area, but the father got his wife and four children to safety after a fire alarm was activated.
In the same area of the city, a 16 year old youth was stabbed on Saturday morning, around 11.30 a.m. Gardai are following a definite line of inquiry and stress that the two incidents were not connected.
