Limerick gardai are investigating a stabbing yesterday afternoon during which the victim received more than ten stab wounds.

Limerick gardai are investigating a stabbing yesterday afternoon during which the victim received more than ten stab wounds.

The victim, who is in his twenties, was walking along the Dublin Road after 1.30 p.m. yesterday when a car was allegedly driven at him lifting him up unto the bonnet before stabbing him.

The man is being treated at St John's Hospital Limerick. His injuries are described as "not life-threatening".
