Los Angeles - White supremacist Buford O. Furrow jnr will plead guilty today and be sentenced to life in prison for the 1999 murder of a US postman and the shooting of five other people, thus avoiding the death penalty, his lawyers said.

The plea agreement, stemming from an August 1999 shooting spree at a Jewish community centre was reached with federal prosecutors and will be made official in federal court today, the 39year-old mechanic's lawyers said.
