A jury has decided that a man accused of spreading defamatory messages on the Internet is fit to stand trial. Mr Anthony Luckwill (25), of Monastery Walk, Clondalkin, was remanded for trial on a charge of criminal libel on January 29th.

A consultant psychiatrist, Dr Art O'Connor, said that Mr Luckwill was fit to stand trial.

Another psychiatrist, Dr Colm McGonagle, said Mr Luckwill suffered from Asberger's Syndrome, which meant that he was unable to act appropriately in social situations and was unfit to stand trial.
