Finally, although it snowed this week, the summer ball season is rolling ever closer. On May 14th, the Friends of St Patrick's Hospital are holding a formal ball at the Royal Hospital to raise funds for a new brain scanner. Committee members include Hilary Wilson Wright, Jane Falloon and designer Ib Jorgensen.
Tickets for the champagne reception, a five-course meal, and dancing afterwards - digestion allowing - to the Paddy Cole Band, are £100 each. They are available through the Friends Office at St Patrick's Hospital.
