ISLAMABAD - President Farooq Leghari of Pakistan sacked a second provincial government yesterday to clear the way for fresh elections he has promised in February after dismissing prime minister Ms Benazir Bhutto.

The governor of the southwestern province of Baluchistan dissolved the local parliament on presidential orders. The move came as Ms Bhutto prepares to file a legal challenge next week to Mr Leghari's order on Tuesday dissolving her government.
