If the politics of a new leftwing formation incorporating Labour and Democratic Left are "correct", the name of the party would be unimportant, according to the DL deputy for Wicklow, Ms Liz McManus.
Reports that the new formation was a "done deal" were not correct. Both sides had to agree a "mission statement", she said.
