Almost two million passengers and over 800,000 tourist and commercial vehicles used the port of Larne last year, setting an all-time record.
Larne is Ireland's busiest ro-ro and ferry port. The number of cars and caravans increased by a third in the final seven weeks of last year, compared to the same period in 1994.
There was a 30 per cent rise in the passenger rate and an almost 20 per cent increase in the number of commercial vehicles using the port.
