Armed robbers made off with a large amount of cash in Co Wicklow this morning.

Armed robbers made off with a large amount of cash in Co Wicklow this morning.

Two men, one carrying a handgun, took bags of money being delivered by a security van to an ATM at a supermarket in Bray, a Garda spokesman said.

He said a "substantial amount" of cash was taken in the robbery. The two men escaped in a black Renault car in the direction of Dublin.

No shots were fired and there were no injuries in the incident, the spokesman added.
