Full planning permission was granted last year. A High Court challenge by residents failed earlier this summer.

Kilconnell, Co Galway
Greenstar has plans for a large private landfill near this east Galway village.Earlier this year Bord Pleanála granted planning permission. Meanwhile, Galway County Council also has plans for a landfill site near Oranmore.
Ballyguyroe, north Cork
Another Greenstar proposal, near Mallow, An Bord Pleanála refused permission for it.
Knockharley, Co Meath
A Greenstar landfill facility, it has obtained full planning permission.

Brownfield Restoration has applied for a licence for a waste facility.
Drehid, north west Kildare
Bord na Móna has lodged plans for a 52-acre landfill and composting facility on a disused bog site near Timahoe.
