Mr Martin Kennedy, of Thurles, Co Tipperary, who has died, was a member of the national executive council of SIPTU and of the Labour Party's national executive.
An ambulance driver for 30 years, he was a former national chairman of the Ambulance Drivers' Association. He served on both Thurles Urban Council and North Tipperary County Council for many years.
