Geneva - South and North Korea were likely to make some progress today in their talks to create peace on the Korean peninsula although they have a long way to go, officials said.

"The talks are going well so far. But we will have to wait until the end [of this round] to say anything more," a source said. The talks are aimed at replacing the armistice that technically ended the 1950-53 Korean War.
