Kilkenny defeated reigning All-Ireland champions Galway to book a place in the under-21 final against Tipperary next month.
Two-goal hero Richie Hogan was man of the match as Kilkenny outscored Galway by 2-14 to 1-13 in a wet Semple Stadium in Thurles this afternoon.
Earlier today Tipperary eased past Derry 1-20 to 0-10 to secure a place in the final.
The Munster champions were never really tested and led at the break in Mullingar by 9 points. The only goal of the game came midway through the first half when Pa Bourke drove a free-kick into the net from 25 metres.
