Jurors in the libel case brought by the former Conservative Minister, Mr Neil Hamilton, against Harrods' boss Mr Mohammed Al Fayed were sent home last night after they failed to reach a verdict.

Mr Hamilton is suing the Egyptian-born millionaire over allegations that he accepted cash payments in return for asking questions in parliament. The jury is expected to deliver its verdict today.
