A Judge said yesterday he did not want to hear excuses and wanted a resolution in the case of a 12-year-old disturbed boy who has no permanent residence. Judge Michael Reilly was told in Limerick District Court that the boy had been in St Michael's Centre in Dublin for the past three weeks for assessment, but no permanent place would be available for him in Oberstown Boys' Centre until January.

The judge said he accepted that the Health Board and the various personnel had been doing Trojan work, but it was the State administrators who he considered were not living up to their obligations. He wanted the boy to go to Oberstown where support services were available.

The boy is charged with damaging property in child-care centres in Limerick and was remanded to St Michael's Centre until December 15th.
