A judge is summing up evidence today in the trial of a man accused of murdering five women in Britain.

Mr Justice Gross read through statements and facts heard during the case against Steve Wright at Ipswich Crown Court.

Mr Wright (49), of Ipswich, Suffolk, denies murdering Gemma Adams (25), Tania Nicol (19), Anneli Alderton (24), Paula Clennell (24), and Annette Nicholls (29).

Their naked bodies were found dumped at isolated spots on the edge of Ipswich between December 2nd and December 12th, 2006.

Mr Justice Gross, who is expected to spend the rest of today summing up the case, told jury members they must cast aside any sympathies they have for the dead women in considering their verdict.
