A manager at a south Dublin garage who admitted sexually abusing a petrol-pump attendant over a 2 1/2-year period has had his sentence adjourned. Judge Kieran O'Connor refused to allow the media to name the defendant even though his victim wanted his name publicised.

Judge O'Connor said he would review his decision when the defendant was sentenced on May 2nd. He was remanded on continuing bail. The man, now 35, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual assault between 1989 and 1991.
