Madrid - Spanish judge Mr Baltasar Garzon, who wants to try Chile's Gen Augusto Pinochet for alleged crimes against humanity, rejected an appeal yesterday by prosecutors who opposed his expanding the extradition request, court sources said. The prosecutors had appealed Judge Garzon's recent addition of 50 cases of torture to his extradition request for the former dictator, saying the judge did not have the right to broaden the case.
