Kuala Lumpur - The judge in the trial of the former Malaysian deputy prime minister, Mr Anwar Ibrahim, ordered a media blackout yesterday on remarks allegedly made by the Prime Minister, Mr Mahathir Mohamad, and the former police chief, Mr Rahim Noor.

The judge ordered an additional blackout on allegations that Mr Anwar, who is accused of corruption and sodomy, earlier made against the International Trade and Industry Minister.
