Ireland's representatives on Day 8 of the World Championships in Edmonton were again left disappointed.
Terry McHugh, Ireland's javelin hope, failed to qualify for the final, despite throwing a personal best of 75.49.
Meanwhile, in the women's 800m wheelchair final, Patrice Dockery finished in seventh place with a time of 2.02.67, as Australian Louise Sauvage went on to claim the gold.
