THIRTY FULL-TIME and 250 seasonal jobs are being created by companies in Dublin and Dundalk.
Malone Engineering is to increase employee numbers at its Blanchardstown project services plant from 15 to 45 and also plans to expand abroad.
Engineering and health and safety graduates will be particularly suitable for the new jobs, company founder Stephen Malone said.
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton announced the Blanchardstown new jobs yesterday and said the Government’s €150 million development capital scheme aims to address the needs of such companies.
He also welcomed news that US marketing materials manufacturer National Pen is hiring 250 services staff to fill seasonal roles as it moves into a new manufacturing facility at its European headquarters in Dundalk, Co Louth.
National Pen, which has been operating in Dundalk since 1986, employs 255 permanent staff there, servicing 19 countries worldwide.
The company says it hopes to offer many of the seasonal staff permanent contracts.
