ROME - A mournful Italy heaped praise on Marcello Mastroianni (72) yesterday as it prepared to bury the actor who died in Paris on Thursday. One national newspaper dedicated its first nine pages to his career. He will lie in state at Rome's city hail today and will be buried in the family tomb at the Verrano cemetery tomorrow.
The singer/actress Madonna yesterday dedicated the Italian premiere of the film musical Evita to Mastroianni.
