Israeli forces killed two Palestinians near the occupied West Bank city of Jenin today.

Israeli forces killed two Palestinians near the occupied West Bank city of Jenin today.

The two were members of the Islamic Jihad militant group, a Palestinian security official said.

An Israeli army spokesman said the militants were armed with rifles and were killed in an exchange of fire. One Israeli soldier was wounded.

He said the operation was carried out by a special Israeli unit, which also arrested six wanted militants.
