Around 30 Israeli soldiers in jeeps entered the oasis town in the Jordan Valley to seize Tawfiq az-Zubin (34), who escaped a 25-year jail term in an Israeli prison in 1997, the Palestinian security officials said.

A fellow member of Jihad was killed during that jailbreak, they said. Since then, Zubin had been working in a cement factory in Jericho and living in a refugee camp in the town.
