Nairobi - Somali villagers isolated for weeks by floods got aid when two boats completed a 200 km journey down the Juba River, aid agencies reported in Nairobi yesterday.

Several aid agencies are co-operating in an operation to help hundreds of thousands of Somalis, many of whom have lost homes and food in floods covering thousands of square kilometres along the Juba and Shabelle rivers in southern Somalia.
