Algiers - More than 90 Islamist rebels have surrendered to army-led authorities in Algeria where up to 10 people were killed in violence during the weekend, newspapers said yesterday.
The French-language Le Matin revised upwards the death toll in Sunday's bomb blast near a school in El Khemis town, 100km southwest of Algiers. It said six people, including two schoolchildren, were killed and 23 injured. Government security forces had said the explosion killed four people and injured 24.
