An Irish man was killed in a fall in the US, it was confirmed today.
The man, who has been named as Brian Forde from Athenry, Co Galway died after a fall in New York yesterday. He was aged in his mid-20s.
The circumstances of the accident are not yet known.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it is providing consular assistance to the family.
