Woman dies following two vehicle crash in Co Meath

Man taken to hospital in serious condition after Saturday night collision

A young woman has died following a car crash in Enfield, Co Meath.

The 25-year-old was a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision with another car on the R148 at Blackwater Bridge on Saturday night.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries while the driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle, a woman in her 30s, is believed to have non-life threatening injuries.

The scene was preserved for a forensic and technical examination and local diversions were put in place.
