Dublin City Council is making a number of water tankers available throughout the day.

A council spokesman said repairs are being carried out on a broken water mains by Irish Water.

“We usually divert water from other areas so that’s why you get reduced water pressure, but we are hopeful nobody will be without water,” he said.

“Householders might continue to experience a temporary low pressure after the mains have been repaired, but we will be gradually building up the pressure.”
