Services on the Luas Red Line in Dublin have been restored after they were delayed for several hours on Friday due to a crash between a truck and one of the trams.

Transdev, which runs the Luas, said shortly before 9.30am that the service had been restored. It warned passengers to expect delays for a short period of time.

Red Line services operated as normal between Tallaght and the Point and Dublin Bus was accepting Luas tickets.

Transdev apologised for the inconvenience to passengers.
