Two men were killed in a two-car crash in Co Monaghan this morning.
A man in his 60s and a another in his late 50s died after their cars collided on the N2 road at Carrickmacross about 11am.
Both drivers, who were the only occupants in their vehicles, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is currently closed and diversions in place as Garda Forensic Collision investigators are examine the area.

Meanwhile, a woman in her 70s has died following a single vehicle road crash in Co Donegal l last night.
Gardaí in Ballyshannon are investigating the incident which took place at about 10.20pm on the Ballyshannon to Belleek road.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was fatally injured when her vehicle hit a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body removed to Sligo General Hospital.
The road is currently closed for an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.
